K Martin & Son Ltd
K Martin & Son Ltd is a multifaceted business established in the mid 60s (went limited in 2003) working within the agri horti industry. The business compromises of a farm, packhouse and glasshouses- Supplying a variety of markets including multiples and wholesale - growing veg, arable, cut flower, bulbs and peat free shrubs.
The businesses Directors, Colin and Jane Martin built the business. Colin overseeing the farm (with manager Ray) and packhouse (with manager Ola) , Jane overseeing the accounts.
Which finally brings us to Natural garden, the latest venture. Hardy peat free shrubs grown by Adele (Colin & Jane's daughter) and her team.
Our Products
Now growing over 100 varieties of shrubs. Our 1 litre, 5 litre and 7.5 litre shrubs come with bespoke eye-catching labels as standard, these have generic barcodes depending on the pot size, all of our packaging is recyclable.
All of our plants are grown from cuttings from our 'motherstock', in a peat free medium, the plants are then moved outside, exposed to the cold and windy weather making them 'true to type' hardy plants. All plants have a 9-12 month Basacote feed.
We also cater for the landscape / growers market having a 'no label' option. (Please specify and contact regarding separate pricing) which can be dispatched on returnable trollies or pallet boxes. Our 1 litre shrubs are ideal for growers looking to pot on as well as being perfect for landscape due to there hardiness. Alternatively larger pot sizes are being introduced for 2024 for landscape and retailers.
